Little Red Riding Hood

The mum is the most guilty person here because if it wasn’t for her making Little Red Riding Hood go to her grandma’s then she wouldn’t have been eaten by the wolf.
It’s her fault because the mum should’ve been a responsible parent and after realising that Granny was sick she herself should have gone, by sending Little Red Riding Hood she’s showing how irresponsible she really is – this is further proven earlier in the text where it’s said that she neglects Little Red as she is always either working or hanging out with friends instead of taking care of her daughter. (She also tries to buy her kids love via gifts to make up for the fact that she isn’t around.)
The Mum should have made sure that Little Red. went the long way around the forest rather than straight through it, yes the mum says to ‘be careful’ but as the adult she should be the one taking responsibility for the safety of her child and she needs to make sure that she’s safe.
On that note – the mum doesn’t even give Little Red. anything to protect herself with, they both know the woods are dangerous but the mum didn’t make Little Red. take something for protection or better yet, she could’ve gotten her to use her pony! Which would have been much faster and safer for the kid.
She’s the parent and a parent should be responsible for their kid, especially if they’re as young as Red and if they’re in a possibly life threatening situation.
